If we were to venture into finding out why the later ones don't work, what actions would be needed for this? Sometimes that doesn't work however. If you don't BSOD by then, disable Driver Verifier. Double click on any error to look at the details. Out of those I would guess on the "COM+" thingie, but I'm not certain. Have you tried contacting Nvidia via their web site to see if they have any known problems with SP3?
Also, it manifests itself if one tries to disable/uninstall the Monitor driver (it doesn't have adverse effect on an old driver) and it also crashes if one tries to uninstall or Make triple sure that you have the very latest drivers for your motherboard chipset, monitor, any BIOS or firmware updates, latest graphics drivers, and so on. But the odd thing is that I was using that same version before my reinstall without any bluescreens (I used it ever since it's release). Its really sad. Again I forced it to shutdown and restart and then (even though I didn't think it did anything when I clicked restore before) it went to the normal login screen.
