Setup Did Not Find Any Hard Disk Drives Installed In Your Computer

I don't need Vista for anything. Then I get a blue screen saying: Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. There is a LOT of additional info in the comments! I am not able to install Windows XP OS CD.

That fact that you are getting that far indicates that the hard disk is being detected (although C: could be mapping to a different drive such as your DVD).
