Unplugging and re-plugging USB doesn't do it; have to unplug the drive's power AND USB to remount. A good raid controller starts at $300. Now i am running on one Raptor and the other sits being liquid cooled and it laughs at me. After doing some testing it turns out that when my BIOS resets itself it puts the controller back in AHCI mode.
