This can happen if a) the audio device failed or b) the controller, itself, isn't working correctly. The four HDMI audio device listings is normal. I had thought that maybe it had something to do with the graphics card, for some weird reason. I did, at some point, connect the bose to the computer using the 3.5mm jack on the front panel of the computer.
