Do You Index Your Entire HDD?
By default, the Search Indexer in Windows 7 indexes the most common locations where your files would be stored, i.e. This approach works. How do you force it search for an entire disk drive, without having to index every single file? i only want to put all my pics together. Source
It sucks that they had to use such a bad naming convention, but we still have to work with it. There is a real issue with mcafee and windows 7. Although you can exclude your entire hard drive from Spotlight, doing so prevents search features in applications from working properly.
Please remember to be considerate of other members. If I use the search facility to search for avis which that directory actually open in front of me, it finds no avis. Maybe there's a way to configure W7 so that I can find my files, but even after reading everything above, I can't figure out what it could be.
