Most recommend uninstalling the MyWinLocker software which worked for me. This is easier than using msconfig or sfc option because of all the rebooting to check. Cuzz it's fixed! (Well, technically it just isn't misbehaving any more...) They need to fix this vulnerability - very hugely unacceptable behavior.... 4 years and it's still a vulnerability? The Breadcrumbs Feature is used for Easier Navigation.

The solution to the problem is very simple and only involves changing your thumbnails to icons. You get error messages like “windows explorer has stopped working” followed by “windows explorer is restarting”. So that's what was the problem. Run CHKDSK Go to the Start button.
